Wellbeing project
Somatics for Wellbeing

In 2024-26 we received Erasmus+ grant support for a project to offer somatic approaches for wellbeing to the general public and organisations. In particular, we want to focus on how to pass on tools for self-regulation and co-regulation of how to:
to prevent burnout
to find energy resources
to perceive rhythms such as effort-recovery, inner-external, mobility-stability, function-expression
to perceive and identify our needs
to read what the environment needs
We offer :
one-day and multi-day workshops in a live meeting at your place or at the DanceLab studio in Prague
online
Depending on the agreed date and the assessment of your needs, we will select a team of our tutors and therapists (1-3 persons) to implement the workshop.
Workshop topics:
1. Dialogues in movement (using the DanceAbility method - or everyone can dance ... movement improvisation, finding the beauty of movement in naturalness and authenticity, developing body perception in contact with others... feeling joy and belonging to the group).
2. Organicity of the body (deep relaxation and rest through experiencing the inner spaces of the body. Organs as a source of aliveness and inner support)
3. Senses and their meaning (sensory-motor regulation) ... one way to regulate emotions and appreciate what comes to us.
4. Flow and its use in therapy and art ... Body fluids, not just blood circulation, have different rhythms and properties. They offer a way to restore our vitality, awaken motivation and inspiration. The flow of the mind and the flow of movement is definitely a pivotal path to well-being and a healthy heart.
5. Space as a source of physical-mental health (orientation in physical space, interpersonal space, personal space).....here we explore the potentiality of space, which is not empty but holds a wealth of information.
6. Eco-somatics… bodily perception of landscape and nature opens new horizons, changes values and offers unusual sources of self-regulation. We go for a walk, stop in a certain place and that place becomes the landscape within us. Our body and the landscape will perceive common features.
7. Authentic Movement as a source of self-value, a tool for communication, relationality, trust, and regulation of the autonomic nervous system
8. Regulation of the nervous system through the movement process in Polyvagal Theory ... i.e. ways to calm ourselves, feel safe, find trust
9. Somatic Touch - The possibilities of touch, its implications, affects and resources
10. SOMA First Aid Kit - Includes practical and simple guides for every day and for times of stress, fatigue and overload.... Tips on how to relax the body, how to feel it more, how to connect with it and return to it.
